Apple Fiber Studio McIntosh – Merino, Alpaca & Nylon Fingering Yarn
Micro-brewed in Bellingham. McIntosh is our most-loved base, dyed in small batches by our lead dyer, Andrea, and finished by hand by our Apple Yarns team. This beautifully balanced fingering weight yarn blends 60% merino wool, 20% superfine alpaca, and 20% nylon into something truly special: supple, dreamy-soft, and built to last. The alpaca brings an elegant drape and incredible softness, the merino adds structure and stitch definition, and the nylon adds durability for frequently worn projects.
McIntosh is stunning for shawls, and just as lovely for sweaters, cardigans, socks, and accessories. Each skein is a unique expression of color inspired by the Pacific Northwest.
